Future Memories Eau de Parfum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Future Memories was not a fragrance I enjoyed. It has a very strong, spicy, woody character, and even without spraying it directly on my skin, I found it overwhelming. I’m actually glad I tested it away from my skin because the intensity became nauseating to me fairly quickly. The green opening combined with the warmer labdanum, musk, vanilla, and Ambrofix creates a heavy, almost aggressively perfumed effect to my nose. Rather than mysterious or intriguing, it reminds me more of a strong, woody cologne that announces itself before the person wearing it enters the room. I definitely wouldn’t choose this for hot weather, when I think the spicy, musky character could become even more overwhelming. A little goes a very long way. If you enjoy bold, woody, ambery fragrances with a strong presence, you may experience it completely differently, but for me, it was simply too intrusive and heavy. I think smelling it from a distance is nice. Try one spritz and let it develop so it will be subtle instead of trying to smell like a man out of the shower who’s trying to mask his own scent.
