My everyday boot
These boots a built to work. Yes, they are a fashion boot, but they keep going. I have worn them in mud and cleaned them up and wore them to dinner. The heel height is perfect. No discomfort like a high heel but not a low heeled combat boot as well. I usually wear a 9.5 and own a 10 in these. It allows me to wear a thicker sock. Oh, and break in only took a few hours. It's the same with all my Frye boots. A few hours and they fit like a glove.

HARD-CORE Stompers!
To say these boots are 'stiff', is a understatement! These will need some serious break-in time; but since the toe box nicely rounded, break in shouldn't be too bad. I ended up getting the 'brown suede', since 'Saddle' was out in my size (at the time of this posting). Not too bad. Note: these are distressed, more than the pic. of the brown suede shows (the pic they're showing, at this time, is the smooth brown leather version, but if click on the "brown" color icon, these will come up. Photo needs to be up-dated, at this posting.
These are definitely 'built-to-last'! Comfortable, relatively speaking; compared to R&B booties! I'm going to add a cushion insole for a little 'shock' absorption. I went a half-size up, to accommodate winter socks. Walking is a breeze...I'm loving the heel height...so much more realistic!
Four stars bc of the leather laces. They are a pain to adjust, and the don't stay tied, no matter what. I've even tried the lotion trick: rub a little lotion on the area to be tied, theoretically this will help soften the leather, making it a little more supple, thereby helping the laces to snug up and stay put. NOT. I have the same laces on a few pairs of Sorrel boots I purchased years ago: Never stay tied; and, leather laces have a tendency to break. Lastly, they're so stiff, they just don't hang correctly when tied...mine are holding the shape of how they were knotted up in a ball from the manufacturer. Maybe I'll try the lotion/trick again and see if it help. Or, just replace w/normal boot shoestrings.
Looking forward to ordering another pair in a different color. And, hopefully, no leather laces!

Great boot!
I love this boot! It's well made and comfy, although a little pricy. It's more distressed than the picture shows, but I don't mind. Like with my other Frye's, I sized up (I'm usually a 6.5/7 and went with the 7), and they fit perfectly. My pair had some of the rubber along the bottom missing which was disappointing, but I assume this is an isolated problem and not a product defect. Overall, I really love them and would recommend!

Love These
These boots are very comfy the heel height is perfect for a everyday casual feel. I bought the grey and love the color. Fryes seem to run a little small on me, I normally wear a 6 but ordered a 6.5 and they are perfect.

classic Frye style
Like many Frye styles, this one is a classic. Also like other Fryes, it requires some serious breaking in. That leather is tough and I look forward to it softening up a bit over its long life. Heel gives some height but is very walkable. A very pretty boot.

Beautiful!
I have these boots in 4 different colors now (green suede, cognac, distressed tan, and now this gold) and it would be impossible to pick a favorite. They give class to a relaxed look and I rarely wear them without receiving a complement. I gave 4 stars only because while they are comfortable, they aren't a boot you can walk miles and miles in without your feet hurting.
