Melissa Tote

This tote is beautiful but it just doesn't work for me. First off, it is heavy. When I put in my wallet, phone and other purse items in I could tell it wasn't going to work. Additionally, the magnetic snap closure doesn't work at all and it's hopeless when you actually have items in the purse. Lastly, the straps are frustrating. When placed on my shoulder the outside position strap flops down. This may just be due to my particular shoulders, but for me, the flopping strap would get pretty annoying. The quality of leather and workmanship was beautiful, but I couldn't overlook the items listed. The tote was returned.

I was really excited to receive this purse. I had only seen it online and I loved the pictures. When it came to me in the mail, the first thing I noticed was the smell. Don't get my wrong, I love the smell of leather, but this smell was very strong. Even when I returned it, the woman that helped me noticed the smell as well. It seemed like it was well built, but I just didnt like it. I really wanted to like it, but I couldn't. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me.

This tote is a total workhorse. Got it on sale in the cognac color and it's just really gorgeous leather. It holds a lot for its size, and I like that it fits my MacBookAir. For this price point, I really wish it had a top zipper, as the magnetic closure is not that strong. I do not travel much, so it should be fine. The straps are a good length, and the tote conforms well when you carry it. The inside organization tools are a very nice touch. My first Frye purchase - very high quality. Love it!
