Melissa Chelsea Boot

I've had these boots for six months and the heels are peeling off. I wear them frequently, but not nearly enough for them to be ruined after such a short period of time. Super disappointed that I spent this much money on Frye boots and they don't last.

Looks great and fits perfectly. For reviews that say it’s difficult to get on and off, purchase a long handled shoe horn and you’ll be all set. I purchased mine from Amazon, but just Google it and several sites offer the long handled shoe horn.

This is a classic, versatile boot. Goes with absolutely everything and made of incredibly sturdy material so I can see myself wearing this shoe for many seasons to come. PLEASE be aware it runs large and size down in this style. I am a very consistent size 9 in other shoes but an 8.5 fits me great in this boot. The 9 I originally ordered fit a bit like a clown shoe, but after an exchange I was very happy with this piece.

Frye boots used to be high quality but the production has clearly gone downhill. I purchased these boots two years ago and have taken top notch care of them with resoles and leather treatments every winter and they are still falling apart. The most recent issue is that the entire sole started to separate from the leather upper along the toe of the boot...They also run extremely narrow--I spent a lot of money having them stretched by a cobbler and trying to do DIY interventions at home but they still cause me foot pain.

I really liked the look of them, but when I tried them on the fit was odd. They run very long in the toe and seemed to make my feet look huge (i wear a size 6). Also- the top was very narrow and i did not have an issue getting them on, but the ankle was tighter and my skinny jeans got bunched up. I wanted to like them but they were not the best.

Handsome shoe, great quality. However, despite my understanding from most reviews, these boots ran huge (in the length specifically). I recommend ordering 1/2 size down from your regular size, and they will fit best on narrow feet/skinny ankles. My shoe size is an 8.5, and sometimes I wear a 9 in boots, so I ordered a 9. When I tried them on, I looked like I was wearing clown shoes they were so long. I exchanged them for 8.5, and they were too long also. I returned the 8.5's without trying an 8 because I wasn't sure my foot would fit into the shaft at that point (it's pretty narrow), and I was irritated.
