Melissa Belted Knee-High Riding Boot (Women)

LOVE these! Got them in an 8.5 (run pretty true to size) and they are so comfortable and feel like they were made for me. The leather is slightly less shiny than other Frye boots I've seen/had, but the leather feels more pliable and comfortable to me. The calf does run pretty narrow, so if you have athletic calves like me, you'll probably want to move to the extended calf sizes. Strong zipper and amazing craftsmanship. These are my second pair of Frye boots and they hold up forever.

I love these! I usually buy a size 9 in Frye boots, but based on reviews I went with the 9.5 and I'm glad I did. They fit very well. The widest part of my calves are just under 16", so I bought the extended size in black. It took me a while to work the zipper up over leggings, but once they were up I wore them for several hours to start the stretching process and they went on no problem the next day and over the past several days I've worn them over jeans, leggings, knee high socks with no issues. They will continue to stretch and mold to my leg shape over time. I have an average width foot and there is zero discomfort. I was actually surprised at how comfortable they were right away. The only part that will need to work itself out is the ankle as the right one rubs on the back of ankle a little bit and after a few hours started creating a blister. I always find tall boots annoying around the ankle where they crease. But, they will soften up over time as my other tall boots have and I expect they'll be just fine.

I'm not sure what she loves more about these boots, the style, fit & comfort, or the rich smell of the leather. She tried them on at the Frye store and knew right away she loved them. When I saw them price matched at Nordstrom, I knew how to make her very happy. She can't wait for cooler weather (hopefully coming soon) to wear them!
