Love these boots
After much deliberation over which Fryes to buy I finally settled on the Campus boots and I love them! I am a true 9 1/2 and they fit me perfect-if I downsized like recommended they would definitely be too small. The distressed leather looks great and is not as stiff as I thought it might be. The boots were very comfortable right out of the box and I wore them all day when I got them. The heel is also a perfect height-great for walking. I only wish I would have bought them sooner.

Not bad-weather practical.
This is a wonderful boot, BUT: it is DEFINITELY not good for snow or icy weather--the leather sole will have you sliding all over the place!! There is no bad-weather traction!!! Frye should make this boot with a different sole. Had I known, I would not have purchased the boot. Don't buy winter boots with leather soles!!!! if the boot has both a leather sole AND a leather heel, then you're really out of luck!!!!

frye campus boot
These boots are made of beautiful leather. I have several pairs of Fryes and you cannot beat the craftsmanship. The shaft hits at the calf & so if your calf is large you might need to have them stretched. They will stretch from wear too, if you are patient. They are classic & look awesome with jeans or skirts. They are pricey but, you will have them forever. I wear an 8 & I got a 71/2 . They are still comfortably roomy with a sock. Get them , you will be glad you did.

Campus 14L Boot (Limited Edition)
I bought my first pair of Frye Campus Boots 15 years ago after seeing them in a high end fashion magazine feature and I have been hooked ever since. I ordered these as a Christmas present to myself and they arrived the next day as Nordstrom guaranteed to have all shipments made before Christmas. I couldn't be happier. Frye boots are exceptionally crafted and will last a life time. The distressing on these makes them look aged and as if you have had them for several years. In the campus style I always purchase a half size down. They are comfortable right out of the box. I wear these with leggings, skinny jeans, mini, knee and maxi skirts.
Over the years I have added several Frye boot styles to my closet and the campus style has always been my go to boots.
As for the 15 year old campus boots I mentioned, I am still wearing those to this day.

The perfect boot!
This is my first pair of Frye boots, and I am in love. The quality of the leather is great. Most boots either have leather too soft or too stiff, but these boots are great. They are extremely comfortable and are very sturdy. They are a very cute everyday boot that would go great with skinny jeans or leggings. If you are tired of the very casual and moderately juvenile look of the classic tall UGGs, then these are a great alternative. You still get a similar look (as far as structure), but cleaner and more mature. They have a prefect sized heel that I feel like enhances the foot support. These boots are timeless and well made so they are definitely worth the money. A great investment!
Oh, and the the dark brown color and distressed look is perfect. I am usually hesitant of getting distressed shoes because sometimes it just looks raggedy. Frye definitely mastered the art of distressing.

Frye
I love my Frye's, I couldn't afford them when I younger but have made up for it. I have the Campus14L and love them. The hardest part is getting them on.I really have to push my feet in. I didn't know about the plastic bag but might try it the next time I wear them.
