Tilly Rib Button-Up Top

I checked the reviews for this top on the free people site before purchasing here and no one mentioned that this runs extremely big and has a boxy fit. It is not form fitting like on the models. I ordered the XS which is the smallest size offered and it’s now obvious that the models are pinned and clipped in the back. The fabric is fine, stitching quality is meh, but it’s a $38 top from free people so that was expected.

WOW… I love free people and I order from their website all the time this is an epic fail for this company. This garment is so thick has zero softness to it and fits small, good concept bad execution don’t waste your money, especially if you love free people, this is a no hands-down return immediately.

I have a large bust so I expected even the XL to be snug but it's loose. It's also a weird for overall. Short in the underarm area. Also, it's a thicker, stiff cotton blend so when unbuttoned, it doesn't fall open so looks odd. I'll get the Favorite Daughter version of this which is insanely soft. I was just looking to save a few bucks. Lesson learned.

I bought this top in black and absolutely loved it. I bought my typical size in free people which is XS. It was nice quality and even a little big but still looked great on. I liked it so much I bought in ivory and was contemplating other colors. Well the ivory I bought in XS as well and it was not the same at all the fabric felt cheaper and stiff, not soft like the black one. It also was extremely tight and rigid even though it was the same size?? Very confusing so I returned the ivory and just kept the black. No clue why the fabric and sizing was so different from one color to the next.
