Perfect Storm Smocked Eyelet Long Sleeve Maxi Dress

This dress has an odd fit, and is why I returned it. The blue color is absolutely beautiful and the design had a good thing going. Unfortunately, this was not designed for tall women. And I have a feeling this dress will also be a struggle for shorter women, too. The slip under the dress didn't cover my butt and I am 5'9. If I had bent over in this dress, you would see everything through the eyelet lace! One thing I loved was the length. If you are any shorter than 5'9 though, this dress may skim the ground and be way too long. The top has an awkward fit and sleeves wouldn't stay up. The bandeau is super tight, but sleeve elastic doesn't keep them on your shoulders. It is a gorgeous dress but poorly designed proportionately.

This dress runs true to size but the cut/fit is really not going to work for most bodies even if the dress "fits" you. Perhaps if you are very lean with small breasts (ie: do not plan to wear a bra), then the dress might work but if you have any kind of curves, it's going to bunch and pull in all the most unflattering ways. The neck opening area looked much wider on and made wearing a bra impossible. I wanted to like the dress and think it looks great on the model but could not find a way that it would ever work on my body.
