Loving Good Vibrations Shorts

I really love the destroyed angled front hem! Also like the long frayed pieces along the back hem giving these short shorts a little extra length for a bit more modesty. I’m 5’1”/103-105lbs and purchased size 25 in both the light denim and camo. Light denim ran a little bit loose overall but I’m fine with that. The camo one fits perfectly. Super cute shorts at a great sale price!

My new favorite denim shorts! Planning to buy more colors. They run true to size, I bought the same size as my other free people shorts (27). I’m 5’2” 135lbs. They are short, but don’t expose my butt. I also like the slant of the cut, they make my legs look longer. So far I hand washed them once and they washed fine, just a bit of dye washed out; don’t wash them with whites!

So I struggle with these shorts. They are almost perfect, but a few crucial flaws cause them to miss the mark. I am normally a 26, but I saw on a review on the FB website that said these run big, so I took a chance and ordered a 25. They are tight, but they fit. So then I ordered the 26 to compare, and per the review, they are big. It's like there should be a 25 1/2... the 25 and 26 are pretty far apart from one another in sizing. I took both pairs on a vacation and ended up wearing the 26's mostly, since the 25's were a little less comfortable. However, with that said, because the 26's are looser, they do show a little butt cheek. So if you're okay with that, then I'd get your usual size. At the end of the day, I want to love these so bad, but I'm just not sure I do. Close, but not quite there...

I don’t think I’ve ever tried on such an ill-fitting pair of shorts. Clearly Free People doesn’t have a lot of varying body types on their board. I have a pretty big sink but a smaller waist. These shorts had absolutely no stretch and were super tight on my hips and thighs while leaving a HUGE gap at the back. Very disappointed considering all the positive reviews.
