Happy Hour Oversize Poplin Button-Up Shirt

I love free people, and I understand their sizing can be larger. This Poplin shirt I knew would be huge, but it was too large. I was looking for an oversized shirt that was flattering, and this was not it. I am right at 5'4", 146 lbs, and have a 28 inch waist. I ordered size XS in the strawberry cream. The color of the shirt was beautiful, and the fabric a bit on the scratchy side (does not mean it would be itchy for you, but I have sensitive skin). I believe this shirt would look great on someone who is tall 5'8"+ and not a petite woman like me. Very sad :N

I like Free People clothes, and know they can be tough to get the right size. I normally wear a Large, ordered a medium, and realizing it would shrink, washed and dried it. But it’s just awkward. The sleeves are short, even for me, and I wear a petite. When pushed up, they look like a clown shirt. Looks crazy over jeans, too long for shorts. I regret purchasing it.

Sadly, I did not even open the plastic bag in which this garment was sent. I had this on my wishlist and purchased when it went on sale. It was wadded up in a big mess and had frayed edges exposed. The picture is completely deceiving. To me it looks like a pretty poplin feminine shirt. I’m reality it has coarse top stitching and tan buttons that give it a campy look. It’s going back.
