free-est Moonlight Ocean Off the Shoulder Maxi Dress

This dress can only be worn off the shoulders, wearing it on the shoulders will just pull down the ruffled collar since it has no support on the back. The back tie can slip off too, unless you tie it suuuper tight. The dress itself is gorgeous. Feminine, girly and sooo sexy. The only turn off is the fabric is viscose, meaning it can only be hand washed. I can't imagine handwashing this heavy dress. I wish FP made it using machine washable fabric. I am afraid if it gets wet, it will get damaged due to it being delicate. Too bad, I would have kept it.

For reference I'm 5'5 and 125 lbs and ordered am XS as Free People tends to run a bit big. I had high hopes for this but didn't love it on myself. The dress has some weight to it and I felt the empire waist (right under the bust line) on this dress kept sagging because of the weight of it. My review of this dress, I feel, is subjective because on the right body/person, it'd look great. The dress is pretty , but also very unflattering on myself, in my opinion. I included pictures so that you can be the judge on what it looks like on a real person and not a model who's posed perfectly. I also preferred this dress as off the shoulder, as opposed to over the shoulders. It looked odd over the shoulders, as you'll see in the pictures. Beautiful dress in theory, just doesn't look great on me. I also felt this dress, because of the poofiness of the bottom, and where the empire waist falls on my ribs, that it made me look pregnant. Again, just not flattering on me at all.
