Yes this dress has a lot of fabric. And yes it does run big. It is beautiful though. Fits amazing. AND it has pockets. I don’t know if it gets any better than that? I was hesitant in purchasing this because it’s not cheap and i read reviews on various sites where people really were hating on this dress. I decided to go for it any way. I ordered a Medium (I’m usually between a medium/large in dresses depending on the style). The medium was the perfect choice. The back of the dress dips down to the perfect spot. The under arms also fall perfectly. I wasn’t sure about the stretchy straps but they work and I actually love them. I’m 5’7” and this dress hits me at the ankles/top of feet. The fabric is sturdy and on the thicker side but that ensures that this dress will last me forever. I’m happy with my purchase and would buy this again. I’ll be living in this once the weather warms up a bit.

VERY LARGE SIZE DOWN AT LEAST ONE SIZE IF NOT TWO
I am just under 5'9 and 195 lbs. In general I wear a L/XL or 12/14. I ordered a size L in this dress and you could fit two of my inside of it. It was comically large. I loved the print and feel of the cotton fabric. I am returning and ordering a size Small!

Absolutely gorgeous dress. Perfect for vacation. Agree with all other reviews- size down at least 2 sizes.
There’s a TON of fabric but I personally like that. It’s also long. I purchased a small- could definitely have gotten an XS. I’m usually a large. I’m 5’ 4” and 170#. It drags on the floor about an inch without any shoes on.

Beautiful pattern but too large/heavy
I wanted to love this dress. The Bluebell Combo pattern is beautiful and the fabric is very sturdy and high quality. HOWEVER, it runs HUGE (I'm 5'4" and 125 lb and purchased XS). And it's extremely bulky and heavy -- it would be too hot for the summer and too cold (on top) for the winter. Can't pack it for vacation because it will take up a lot of space... so I'm not sure when/where to wear this. Also it scares my cat.

size down two sizes!
I purchased this for my baby shower. I usually wear a M or L in free people and am a 12 pre pregnancy. I got a small and it fits perfectly! I am 4 months pregnant but will work not pregnant or even a few months from now. Love the color and print, beautiful!!

Summertime!
In my preschool years, my mother would sew dresses in sweet floral prints and I felt like a fairy princess in them. This dress brings me back to that sweet feminine feeling.
Runs very large and has a literal ton of fabric. I went 1 size down, could have gone down 2 sizes.

High quality cotton in really fantastic prints and has on-seam pockets!!! BUT--runs very large. I'm 5'5", 125 lbs and my usual size Small is way too large, and I'll potentially try the XS or XXS. I love the oversized look but even the XS or XXS will still be plenty oversized. Note that the straps are elastic and quite stretchy--combined with the weight of lots of fabric of the dress the dress practically bounces on the straps. This is an interesting engineering decision--and I think still works but is certainly unconventional. I think pairing w a lacy bralette or light tank top will be needed for some. The darts on the bodice were much too wide for me--but may be ok in a smaller size. Super fun prints and volume! Just need to size down to make it work.
