Favorite Part Tie Waist Tiered Poplin Maxi Skirt

I never write reviews. However, I really felt that this outfit, specifically the skirt, required one. First of all, the the outfit itself is adorable. I got the mermaid color and it’s a beautiful green color. It will look great this spring and summer. However, I am a size 16 sometimes in 18 sometimes a 14 but pretty consistently a 16. I typically wear an extra large, even in Free People which tends to run large. However, in this skirt, I got the extra large, too big sized down to a large, still too big. Size down to a medium. I could probably wear a small and the only reason I’m not even going to try is because I don’t want to give up any more length on the skirt. You really need to size down two sizes or more on the skirt to make the outfit look cohesive because the skirt is so voluminous compared to the top. Overall adorable outfit, but sizing beware.

I got this skirt in Mermaid, and I get compliments every time I wear it. I love the brilliant green and the ruffles at the bottom and the quality, crisp cotton. 4 Stars here as a warning about the SIZING… I am a Medium across the board, but I had to size down to X-Small here. There is simply that much material and plenty of room with paper bag waist. I am lucky that I am short so the length doesn’t look stupid now — but just warning that this sizing is weird.
