So cute
It’s meant to be a super oversized fit so if that’s not your thing, then you may not like it even if you size down. That being said, I love oversized clothing and think it’s the cutest thing, bought the candy(?) pattern and can’t wait to wear it all spring!

Strange Fit
The jacket was more oversized than originally thought. I tried on a larger size in the store and chose small, even though I normally wear medium. The small was still too big. The sizing was off. I will be returning it. I’m sad because I loved the pattern.

Runs big but not THAT big
I'm a size 22/3X so I ordered an XL based on the many reviews stating that the jacket runs extremely large. It didn't fit me (some Free People is oversized enough to work for plus sizes, even though they don't go above XL).
I would say the XL probably fix similar to XXL or 2X, but did not button the whole way on me, a 3X. Figured this review would be helpful for those making purchases based on the oversized fit :) You can trust that this jacket will run roughly 1 size larger than the stated size. Also, it fits bigger in the shoulders and arms than it does in the torso/waist.
Love the color, perfect for spring. Wish I could keep it!

different from the picture
The picture shows horizontal pattern which I really liked, but when it arrived it was vertical pattern , which to me was not attractive. I got a small size and it was a little oversized as I think it was supposed to be. I returned it and the tales person convinced me that if I ordered again it would be the pattern as shown , so I reordered, and decided to try the extra small size. But it came again in the vertical pattern. I had to return, however I learned that the small size was the right one, as it does look better when it is a little oversized. I really liked the way this jacket looks, so I will wait to see if there is another pattern that I like, and will buy that in the small size. By the way I looked at the Free People website and there are many other pattern options, but I prefer to buy from Nordstrom.
