Chamomile Oversize Cardigan

I'll start by saying I bought 3, yes 3, to find my size. I am 5'6 34DDD smallish waist. Usually size M/L tops, Small pants. I started with an XL because all other sizes were sold out (not sure what I was thinking other than I needed this sweater). It came back in stock and I went with a Small, thought it might be too big then ordered an XS. The Small is the keeper! The XS went way shorter making the body look fat and boxy. The Small hung nicely on my body and hugged my booty, unlike the XS that made me look dumpy and fat. Way longer than the XS in body and arms. There is just a big gap in sizing. It's definitely oversized and will work for the coldest days in Southern California. It's heavy in weight and soft. Don't think you're going to put any clothes over it. It's big and loose. Could be lounge wear but I will dress it up with fitted under clothes and go out with it! Ivory color is so cute! Oh and the arms are long on the SML where I have to push up the sleeves but I think that adds something nice and feminine to the oversized look of it.

5'4 140 lbs with zero curves. I stayed true to size in a small, even though it's oversized, it hits me below my hips and just lays better in a size small with the high/low cut, whereas the extra small's closer fit billows out in an odd, unflattering way directly against my hips. Sizing down with the high/low cut gives me the illusion of being wider. Also beware that the buttons are extremely cheap looking and feeling. Thin, low quality, plastic sounding, feeling and toy like? Not very easy to button and unbutton because the buttons are too big for the tiny delicate holes, which leads me to my next issue. The cardigan SNAGS VERY EASILY. I ordered a black and the sleeve came with a snag, I ordered the russet acorn 2 times. (gorgeous cinnamon rose smoke color for Autumn) the first time it had a fraying tear along the collar seam and a snag near the same area. The replacement russet acorn came with 2 snags on the back. Washed Black is more gray looking on the outer side and washed black inside. Rose sugar is a beautiful dusty rose color. Ivory is a creamy vanilla. Although Ivory came with no snags, the fit is way bigger than the others in the same size.

I wanted to give this 4 stars because the materials is so soft and a perfect winter weight for Michigan. The shawl collar is fabulous. I bought the ivory and loved it till I tried it on. This is definitely a lounge wear piece for me. I am keeping it due to the fabric alone. Just won’t wear it in public. So much extra material in the sleeves and the body, I don’t think any of my winter coats would go over it anyway. I am a medium…I bought a small, probably should go for the extra small but afraid of shrinking. Keep in mind I am a person who loves my oversized tops so this sweater is extreme, but the is what free people does. This sweater would be a huge hit if the body of the sweater was narrowed down. I am keeping. Primarily due to the the fabric. I crave soft comfortable clothes. Struggling to find 100 percent natural soft fibers.

I normally wear a large, I bought a medium because all the comments said it ran big. Big is an understatement. I am 5 foot eight and weigh 200 pounds.. a curvy - athletic, build . I was drowning in this sweater. I bought the pink.. it’s pretty.. it’s a very good quality, heavyweight sweater, if you just like a grab and go jacket in place of a bulky coat, especially when you drive… but it’s huge.
