Frankie Water Repellent Cargo Pants

I really wanted to love these cargo pants especially since I splurged on the matching Alp N Rock Kara Water Repellent Hybrid Jacket (which, by the way, is a total 10/10 and makes me feel like a Bond girl). But the pants? Well… let’s just say they’re a bit of a fashion fit nightmare. First off, I’m 5'2", and these were clearly designed for someone auditioning to be a Rockette. I’ll need to get them hemmed—like, significantly. The crotch is also oddly long, a bit like MC Hammer pants from the '80s. Not ideal. I get that cargo pants are supposed to be loose, but these feel like they’re halfway to parachute status. Also, the material is thinner than I expected and better suited for a mild autumn breeze than a rugged hike in Alaska. That said, I still think they could be great after a tailor performs some magic. And paired with the jacket, it’s going to be a killer look. Just… maybe not straight out of the box unless you’re 5'10" and built like a runway model.
