Meyer Knee High Boot (Women)

I bought these in burgundy. I looooove the color. I've got fairly thick calves...and one foot is wider than the other (lol) so I usually do best in 9W and wide calf boots. That combination wasn't available so I got a 9.5 reg with a wide calf. The calf fits wonderfully with room to spare. I'm 5'4" and they go to the bottom of my knees.. I can zip it without problem, and they fit over skinny jeans. If I'm wearing thick socks,the boot is slightly tight on top of my right (wider) foot... but not so much that it'd be an issue. With thin socks/ pantyhose/barefoot, they fit perfectly.

I was so excited about these boots. I ordered them while on sale. They finally arrived and I tried one on. Adored it. It was comfortable. Loved the color (black), the fit, and the rich, kind of rough texture. Imagine my surprise when I go to take the other boot out and that boot has a completely different texture! Same boot but it was super smooth compared to the other one. So disappointing. I plan on returning them. If you roll the dice and order these, make sure you closely examine BOTH boots to make sure their texture is the same. Otherwise it practically looks like you're wearing a different boot on each foot.

I wanted to love these boots! Unfortunately they’re going back. They do not look like the picture the color is a lot lighter almost faded in certain parts.. I purchased the burgundy 9 1/2W regular calf. They also run a bit narrow from the toe to the ankle even though it says Wide. It was really hard to put them on.

Pro's: Quality boots that will last through several seasons. Nice leather; soft but also sturdy Knee high(I'm 5'6" and these hit right at my knee Good/ ample arch support Classic style Cons: The calf is wide, like I re-checked my order, the boot, and the box to see if I'd mistakenly ordered wide, they were *that* wide The foot bed is extremely narrow. The decorative pull tabs at the top are a braided type fabric which seems a bit cheap I can't imagine anyone whose calf is wide enough for this boot would also have a foot narrow enough. My feet are narrow and I'm considering having them stretched because they are *that* tight. For now I'm wearing thinner socks, but I think we'd all agree we like thick socks with our boots. To accommodate the too wide calf I had to have them altered for an additional $40. Luckily I purchased these on a really great post- holiday sale so even after the alteration they were still less than retail. Ideally I would have liked them to have a 14.65 calf (or even remotely close) like stated in the description. Final thoughts: these are nice boots, they had enough good qualities that I ultimately decided to keep them but stars were deducted for the braided pull tabs, and the calf being significantly larger than described.
