A perfect Barrett!
It's my go-to wear all day barrette when I need to put my hair up. It's comfortable, the perfect size, the right color and most of all I can drive without it smashing up against the headrest of my car. It was a bit pricey compared to most but with Notes the purchase was easier to justify. And, glad I did!

It looks cheap
I've seen several tortoise cheap barrettes for sale, but I decided to buy this one because I assumed the quality would be superior due to the higher price tag and because it was being sold at Nordstrom and Nordstrom has a reputation of only selling high end items. Well, I received my online order and what a disappointment! The barrette looks cheap, has no attention to detail - the clip on the back is just glued and it's not even centered properly. The tortoise looks cloudy and milky. I have barrettes that I paid less than $2 that are far better than this one. I don't know why there are so many good reviews about this item. I'm returning it.

Perfect Hair Accessory
This barrette is made to last. It's substantial and the moving parts are designed to work effectively. I've wasted far too much money on cheap barrettes that break or don't hold all of my hair. This barrette is worth the price and more - it holds all my hair and looks professional. I bought the darker color because I have darker hair but the lighter color would look very nice on lighter hair. I highly recommend it.

Not for thick hair.
This is a really pretty barrette. I got the Onyx. Problem is, is just didn't hold my slippery, medium-thick shoulder length hair. Not a volume barrette. Cheers to Nordstrom, however. It was a breeze to return.

Love these clips. They keep the hair neat and are very comfortable. My hair is a very silky texture and they don’t slide. Work on thick hair and they look very professional if you are dressed up.
