Floral Embellished High Neck Cap Sleeve A Line Gown

Lovely. My 2nd choice for MOB gown; just wasn't as flattering as a columnar style (a different gown that's still my #1 pick). This one's not as kind to imperfect upper arms, & adds a few pounds through the hips, but it does a lovely job of showing off a bustline/midriff difference, so from the waist up it's quite flattering. Sleeves do not fit as shown in the photo; they actually have little "wings" of extra fabric at top so they stick up a bit, which is rather an odd look but it also gives the extra room needed for raising your arms (I doubt the gown model would be able to dance with anyone taller than she is, if her sleeves are really fitting that way & not edited for photos). Really pretty, though. I especially want to comment on the color: while most pink MOB/MOG gowns are a washed-out dud of a pale pink or blush, this one's perfect. It's a deeply saturated baby pink, so it's pale enough if the palette calls for a light pink, but deep enough within that baby-pink range that it's got some actual color to it & won't wash out certain skin/hair tones. Glittery, sparkly, flowy. Perfect length (I'm 5'7") with mid-range heels, probably w/o having to hem it (maybe just trim the tulle a bit?). Other Mac Duggal gowns that I tried on were that unimpressive shade of watered-down blush; this one has lovely color--it won't make the cut for me, but it came close (if I didn't already have a gown on hand that's still my first pick, I'd definitely hang onto this one for awhile). Worth a try!!
