Fantastic shorts
I own six different pairs of these shorts and they are fantastic. I've worn them rafting, hiking, climbing, biking, and everything else except swimming. They've held up incredibly well.

Tight waistband, fragile material
I purchased these shorts in black, size medium (like all of my shorts across all styles). I really like the overall appearance of the shorts, but the waist sizing is extremely tight- why not include a zipper fly at this price? I own the Astro Shorts - 7" in the same size and they aren't nearly as tight... Regardless, these aren't suitable for rock climbing, outdoor or indoor. First session I wore them on rock they snagged and frayed. I wore them again indoors and they got absolutely chewed up by the walls. Maybe these are more suitable for light hiking.

Killer shorts
These barely left my body all summer. There isn't really a single thing they don't do well. Big fan of the zippered pocket on the side, perfect for valuables or things you don't want to sit on. Only criticism is the belt--felt a little redundant given the elastic waist, but didn't get in the way at all.

Love the Ferrosi line, but would change a few things
I love the Ferrosi line from OR, and have owned the jacket, the anorak, and these shorts. I really love the stretch of the material. Overall, these shorts are good but I have noticed a couple of things that are not ideal: one is that the pockets are pretty shallow and high/tight across the top, so it's not as easy to get things in and out of my pockets. Another is that some of the stitching has unraveled and so I'm worried about longer term durability. But they are comfortable for sure.

Same comfortable material as the pants. Also great for traveling. I like the built in belt, that is very easy to use and adjust. Very lightweight and great in hot weather!
