The Favorite Blazer

I saw the blazer in store and tried it on thinking oh this is going to be another blazer that doesn’t fit quite right and is boxy or gaps, etc. Nope, it fits perfectly. It nips in at the waist, has great detail, is good weight and a very classic style. It is an expensive item but worth it. I have more of an hourglass type shape so that oversize blazer look is not all that flattering but this one has a cinched waist, and I think would look great on anybody.

Favorite Daughter does a great job designing for the curvature of the female body, and this jacket is no exception. Well made, tailored to define the waist and accentuate the bum, and made of quality fabric. As most others have mentioned, the sleeves do seem to run long. Nordstrom offers in house alterations for that. For reference, I am 5'6", 36DD, 175lbs, purchased a Large in this blazer. I do have room to wear a fitted turtleneck or pleated blouse underneath. This can be worn with riding leggings and boots, jeans and loafers, or over a leather skort with heels. I like the look of this blazer over the Favorite Daughter Phoebe houndstooth bustier with jeans and tall Frye Carson lug boots.

This should have been a home run! Great material, quality and design (hence the two stars) but.....oversized? NOT. I am a 34DD 6/8 size and this was WAY too small in the bust and upper back. The model that they use is very small chested and there is a reason why. If this fits, you will love it. But for me - it was a return.
