My Fairview Travel day pack is a replacement for an earlier version which I wore out after 9 years of daily use. The design and colour has been changed slightly and the bag seems even more robust than my old one. It's very comfortable and versatile and I'm extremely happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone, particularly because of Osprey's lifetime guarantee.

Not fit for purpose
I had expected this to fit securely to the Fairview 50 but it doesn't. I have no confidence that it would still be attached to the main backpack once it arrives at it's destination. It would be far better if it had a zip to attach it to the main pack as my previous backpack/daypack combination did.

Beyond expectations
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought with the Fairview 40, the combination has enabled me to fly without hold luggage and do some decent hill walking at my destination. I don't often write reviews, but this combination of bags has surpassed my expectations. The Travel Daypack is surprisingly roomy.

Don't use this much for
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't use this much for a travel day pack because it becomes back heavy with it attached to the main bag and would prefer the older zipper style attachment versus webbings/clips.
I do use it for weekly grocery trips and daily errands. I appreciate the top-loading and slim style to hold all my items snug and never have to worry about struggling to get the zipper closed. can also fit extra things into the deep side mesh pockets. Definitely surprised by how much I could fit and carry in this. The chest strap is helpful, sometimes I do wish there was a lap belt but overall love this pack and use it almost everyday!

Day pack perfection
Exactly as described, enough space and well organised and a good comfort fit for a light trail trip or business day

Too small
I love that it clips in to the shoulder straps of my Fairview 36 but the access is a narrow opening at the top and the capacity is too small. I with there was a larger version because the ease of use with the Fairview 36 is fantastic

Neat to have a way
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Neat to have a way to attach to the Fairview-- that's the only reason I bought this pack. And then I learned that this pack is better for people with longer torsos! The shoulder strap height is not adjustable as it is on the Fairview, and I was sorry to see the way the grab loop was designed between the two shoulder straps-- this functionally adds an additional ~2" to the torso length, since it's not possible to snug the pack up any closer to the neck than that grab area.
All to say: probably a great pack for someone with a longer torso, and not comfortable for me (shorter torso length)-- the pack goes halfway down my backside. Is there any other pack that goes with the Fairview? When I do travel, I do usually strap a smaller pack on my front, and the clip strategy seems easier than putting front shoulder straps on under back pack shoulder straps. I've looked for the same size clips so I could make my own connecting pack hookup, but have been unsuccessful in finding the needed size clips-- seems they're a nontraditional size. I wonder if that's intentional on Osprey's part to push people to buy this Travel Daypack? It did push me to do so, but what seems to be their only option doesn't fit me well. So if anyone knows of where I could get a pair of male clips to make my own connection with a different pack, I'd love to know!
Other notes: The placement of the main top zip feels a bit awkward-- it being tilted more toward the shoulder straps makes it a bit harder to open when putting stuff in. I like the color options. Apart from not being adjustable for torso lengths and the awkward top zipper, it seems well made.
