I never once thought I would think a Louboutin was comfortable out of the box but here we are. As a big Kate lover I also never thought I would see myself in a non-pointed silhouette but these are also unexpectedly sexy. I would say they definitely run bigger than most Louboutin as I had to go down a half size that my normal.

I had tried to size down one in these because a number of loubs that have come out in the last year with a more "comfortable" silhouette run quite large. I could definitely fit in the smaller size, but my normal size of 9.5 is more comfortable. I'm hoping they don't stretch out much, though, because they are just slightly large in the back. They are definitely comfortable - they have padding in them, unlike almost all other louboutins. You don't realize how much of a difference even slight padding will make until you have the shoes next to each other. It's unreal. Of course, the almond toe and slightly thicker heel add to the walkability of these. They also have the everlasting sole, which truly does work to protect the red and, bonus, makes them a bit more grippy so easier to walk in! It's a VERY thin almost rubber-like coating that seals them off. If you are torn between these and the ones with a slightly shorter heel, I highly recommend these if you are on the taller side. I am tall enough that the 85mm ones end up looking very strange on me, but I was worried that 100mm would be really odd on what I would call a more conservative shoe. They do not look bad at all and as mentioned above are extremely comfortable compared to most shoes from this designer.
