Carry on

Great pack for a cheeky week away. Used packing cubes inside and easily had enough space. Comfy and easy to carry on the plane using the side handles and with the roll up back cover in place to protect the straps.

Airlines have standardized 40-30-15 cm dimensions

This backpack can not be carried onto airline passenger compartments because it will not fit under the seat ahead of you on the aircraft. 40-30-15 centimeters is the maximum dimension set. This pack is guaranteed to be checked into the hold as oversize at a cost of $100 or more per infraction. L.L.Bean should have figured this out already, of course, but here they are offering this absurd liability.

Great bag

Bought this spontaneously for a month backpacking trip and shipping was quick and the bag is amazing! I love the open zip on the top and the straps are perfect too! Day bag is perfect size for planes and trains! Love this bag can’t recommend it more!!!

Sturdy but disappointing

I love the colour, style and texture. It’s strong and well made but if you don’t carry the extra pack there’s no place for water and on a long hike this is very very frustrating.
