Flex pockets were a bad idea

Previous generations of these 5" shorts have been perfect and I own over half a dozen. This generation got one major thing wrong: the flexible pocket. Since the pocket mesh now flexes, dropping a phone, keys, or anything heavy in your pocket extends the pocket outside of the shorts past the hem line. It looks really bad to walk around with pockets hanging out of your shorts. Some flex in the fabric is part of what makes these shorts great, but extending that to the pockets was a bad choice.

Love the stretch and feel

Incredibly comfortable shorts

Great khaki color and very comfortable! I initially tried a pair of these shorts in 31x30 (my usual size) and they were just borderline snug, but the 32x30 size fits very well! I’m 5’6” and these shorts hit about 2 inches above my knee when standing.

Soft and comfortable. Perfect for warm summer weather. 5" shorts aren't ideal if you keep things in your front pockets
