Lots of pockets and great coverage!
I bought this to replace my previous Expedition Coat. Overall I love it! Lots of pockets! I think the 2 pockets at the top might be better facing inward with zippers. I don’t like to open my coat to get my ID. The inside pocket does not have a zipper, only a snap. The length is great as it provides great coverage. Very warm and waterproof.

Exceeded my expectations
I live in Boston, so not the Arctic circle, but a fairly cold place. I hesitated to buy this based on the mixed reviews on warmth, but it is SO WARM. Would I wear it on a polar expedition? Maybe, maybe not. Probably I would upgrade my coat for the Arctic. But if you’re in Boston, this is very sufficient. Even on 3 degree mornings waiting for the train this thing keeps me toasty. I haven’t found anything of this quality for this price anywhere else. Looks boxy, but hey, warm is warm. Have gotten a shocking number of compliments for such a boxy coat.

what a winter to buy this super warm coat
Bought this for a trip to Canada in January - kept me warm and protected from winds - even in sub zero (F) windchills. Also good for the east coast blast & snow storm. Ordered a large - could have done a medium with plenty of room underneath for layers!

Finally. . . a Petite size! . . And It's Perfect!
This is the perfect jacket - everything that I was looking for. I'm going to Iceland and I wanted a jacket that was warm, waterproof, and windproof. I went to REI, Patagonia, and North Face. They had what I was looking for, but they were so long (I'm 5'0" tall . . . or, more accurately 5'0" short" LOL). It looked like I was wearing a sleeping bag. I saw that Land's End had all the features that I wanted AND in petite sizes. I was going to get a size medium so I could layer, but the size guide recommended I get a Petite small. I was a little worried, but when I tried it on with a baggy sweatshirt it fit perfect (for reference, I'm 120 lbs. and have broad shoulders).
Also, I read the complaints of previous posts - not being able to remove the fur or hood (you can remove both), the emblem on the sleeve (which I wouldn't have minded, but it's gone), not being able to cinch the hood (there are pull chords inside), that it's too heavy (Umm . . . I've had heavier pea coats), etc. It seems Land's End listened and made all of those changes. Thank you!
Buy it. You will not regret it.

Puppy coat
I’m spending a lot of time outside with a new puppy and frigid weather in the Mid Atlantic. This coat is wonderful especially since it covers down to my thighs.
