Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup Foundation for Face and Body SPF 15

I have used this Maximum Coverage for years. I've been an Estee Lauder Customer for 20 years. The Fair color was the biggest seller and almost always out of stock and had to be ordered. Why is Estée Lauder no longer making Fair in this product??? The lightest color is Creamy Vanilla, which is way too dark and has yellow tones. The color Fair or Creamy Ivory was perfect for us Fair toned Ladies. I am so tired of Estée Lauder discontinuing products. I was spending $600 a month there for my products which have all been discontinued except this Foundation and now you have decided to discontinue my color of Foundation. So I guess I'm no longer an Estée Lauder Customer. When you have a Fair complection, Med & Dark won't work. I'm very disappointed in Estée Lauder.

This is not a modern finish makeup. You will not look like you're seamless or wearing just great skin and nothing else. The texture doesn't allow for easy blending or forgiving coverage. If you have fine lines, you will be highlighting every single one. If you have deeper lines, you risk looking years (or decades) older than you are. The trouble with this makeup is that you have to have perfectly prepped skin and even then you risk having the makeup crease, run or just look horribly obvious on your skin. The trick with this makeup is that a tiny bit really does go a long way. If you have dry skin, forget this. Move on, nothing to see here. Choose anything else but this. If you have oily skin, you will need to use a primer or it will slide right off and crease. I think this is a horrible choice for anyone who needs full coverage since it just is an unflattering mess. That said, it works well on necks and other parts of the body when blended out properly. So, if you need to cover a faint scar, a birthmark or some spider veins, try this using a stippling brush and some talc-free setting powder. Blend until you think you can't blend anymore. And then blend some more. You will get good results this way. But, this just doesn't work on the face. It's horrible face foundation for those of us who don't want any perceptible trace of makeup. It just looks like an old 80s face full of makeup even when used very sparingly.

This is truly a full coverage foundation. It definitely takes time to learn how to use it. Use it sparingly because if you use too much it will look like you have a mask on. I bought this to cover melasma or mask of pregnancy brown spots on my face. This product is the best I've used to cover the spots. I use it as a concealer then use a lighter foundation from Bobbi Brown to cover the rest of my face. I have found that a moist beauty blender sponge works the best because the product dries very fast and gets cake-y easily without the moist blender. I bought medium deep and Tawney colors but neither of them were right for my medium skin. I returned and bought the next two dark colors and settled on spiced sand, sandle wood was way too dark. The spiced sand is a little darker than my skin but when I put the lighter Bobbi brown foundation over it it helps mask the brown spots better. The color that was closest to my real skin color was medium deep for those interest. Hope this was helpful!

spent years and lots of money searching for the right foundation. i have oily skin and very bad malasma (hyperpigmentation). i'm also more golden toned. other foundations and powders weren't the right color (too pink or orange), weren't full coverage as claimed. had the same problem with concealers and combined, it just looked cakey and gray. never considered EL until an artist at Nordstrom said she had the perfect thing for me. i was skeptical, of course. she hadn't spent much time applying the foundation and when I looked in the mirror, i was amazed. luv, luv, luv this product! best coverage ever! it feels light and doesn't look overly made up. best of all, it's an all-in-one! i don't need concealer any more so i have absolute beautiful, even coverage! i experimented with powders for the absolute right color. this has also knocked off a half hour of makeup time. o yeah, it lasts ALL day! Pham at Nordstrom Sacramento and EL gave me my confidence back.

I think the foundation will be okay when I get to use it, but unfortunately, the on-line sample swatches are such BAD, impossible to judge the color examples, I will have to make a trip into a store to pick up the right shade to use. I tried to pick the lightest shade since I have a very fair complexion, but I received a muddy yellow product that doesn't even come close to working at all. The on-line color examples are FRUSTRATING and useless!
