Fragrance story: The M+ line adds +1 to Iso E Super, the super aroma-molecule that turned the cloistered world of perfumery upside down. Molecule 01 + Clary Sage consists of Iso E Super + Clary Sage. Iso E Super is an abstract synthetic molecule characterised as a cedarwood note with a warm, woody, velvety cocooning sensation. Clary sage is a biennial herb, native to the Mediterranean and cultivated in southern France for perfumery.
Used here in both oil and absolute form, it is a fresh, aromatic plant note with a distinctive fruity, herbal brightness. Clary sage contains naturally occurring linalyl acetate, giving it a crisp, airy freshness, alongside floral nuances that recall blooming elderflower. It is complex yet unsweet, balancing herbal, floral and gently musky facets.
Together, Iso E Super and clary sage create a quietly charged contrast: the expansive, transparent warmth of Iso E Super set against the fresh, aromatic lift of clary sage. The fragrance opens with a clean, herbal brightness, softly floral and fruity notes, and settles into the smooth, woody presence of Molecule 01, which carries clary sage through the drydown.
