Sequin Babydoll Top

I really wanted to love this cute top, especially with the coordinating ruffle skort that makes it look like a single piece of very fun sparkly layers, but it just looks really wide, I think because of the empire waist. I sent it back and selected another ER top to coordinate with this skort. It would probably look best with skinny fitting pants as shown on the website. Comfy though and fits true to size. I’m 5’8, 150# and medium fit well.

This would've been a really fun top. Great green color. Shiny sequins. But the sequins and fabric shed everywhere. Just trying this on, there were sequins and bits of the black fabric all over. I have never seen fabric shed before, so that was a surprise. I'd planned to wear it for the holidays, but there will be many pets around on the occasion. I'd be concerned about wearing something that leaves potentially harmful shedding all over the floor and furniture, not to mention the cleanup needed by the hosts. I ordered a large. It was too big around the waist but seemed okay in the arms. I think a medium would've been better, though. I'm 5'6", 36D, 30" waist, 41" hips, 140 pounds.
