Embroidered Tiered Maxi Dress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main reason that I am only giving this dress 2/5 stars is because the dress is see through, despite the fact it has a lining on the inside. I am including a picture as proof that even with light colored undergarments you can totally see through the dress. I couldn’t tell when I first tried it on in my room because in dim/low light it’s hard to tell. I only realized it after I went out wearing it and looked at myself in the mirror. Sigh. I understand that’s sometimes just how white dresses are, but considering there’s a lining I expected that to not be an issue with this dress. It’s a shame because the dress is otherwise pretty nice. The stitching looked nice and even on the embroidered parts. The fitted waist is stretchy and flexible, and pretty comfortable around the waist. I was worried about the length of the dress since I’m 5 ft 3 and sometimes these dresses are too long, but surprisingly it isn’t too long at all and I can wear the dress with a very short heel (size small). It’s very flowy, and would have been a nice staple outfit for summer. But for the price point, it is disappointing that it is too sheer even with the lining, and needs shorts underneath or a slip of some kind.
