Never Arrived!

I purchased this in advance for a trip I had and it said it shipped but when following up on tracking it never left the location. I contacted Nordstrom and they said it was being sent by the brand. They looked into it and company didn’t ship so they refunded me. I want this item so I try to purchase again and see what happens. Not the item is MORE expensive online. What is going on?
