Fun and slimming dress
This is one of my favorite dresses by Eliza J. I bought the 2 Petite and it fit perfectly. I am 5'2, 35-28-35, for reference. I bought the red months ago, and was happy when the black appeared in my size. This dress is youthful, yet appropriate for all ages. The dress is slimming. There is seaming that shapes the waist. The dress flares as it goes from the waist to the hem, and the ruffles add a fun and feminine detail. The dress comes to about 2 inches above the knee. The cap sleeves are flattering. The fabric is medium weight and comfortable. The dress requires shapewear underneath, because it reveals figure flaws, especially in the tummy area. This dress can be worn all year round. It's great for holiday parties or any dressy event. You will love it!

I have been looking for a red dress to wear to work and thought I had found something professional but fun. I was really disappointed in the material. The dress did not hang softly like it looked in the online picture. The material feels cheap and is a little to stuff to hang nicely. It is a big no. The fit is also awkward. It felt to big in some areas and tight in others

Cute dress, true to size.
Cute dress, fit me perfect except much too short. It's difficult to find dresses for ladies of a certain age, so frustrating. Had to return it. Nordstrom used to carry classic clothing, but now its all geared to the very young. Short skirts, low necks, cold shoulders just don't look good on everyone.

Pretty/flattering fit
I am 5'4 1/2 and 115 lbs with a petite athletic build. The size 2 fit perfectly and the length was nice and modest(It touches the top of my knee cap)I feel like this dress has a very flattering fit. It looks fitted and tailored but at the same time doesn't show every little bump and imperfection. It seems well made with a sturdy material that still drapes nicely everywhere. However I gave it 4 stars because I was fully planning on getting a red dress in the mail but it's definitely not red it's more of a dark fuscia color. So I am deciding if I want to keep it because I was set on red. But the fit is really beautiful and I feel like it would flatter lots of different figures.

Eliza J petites are a bit too short!
I absolutely loved this dress as I like Eliza J and the way the brand fits, and this dress in black was stunning. But it, along with the last several dresses I have ordered have been too short (and I actually do like having them just above the knee).
An 8 Petite fits perfectly, except for being at least two inches shorter than I should/will wear. I am 5 ft l inch and just need at least one to one and a half more inches of length for the dress to really look PERFECT on me. There is rarely a hem that can be let out.
I know that "short" is the style now, but doesn't help me. But I'm willing to wait it out for a while in hopes they get a wee bit longer in length because Eliza J is my dress of choice! Well made and I always get compliments .

Very cute
A very cute dress. I purchased it to wear to a wedding and it will dress up nicely. I normally wear a size 4 but since that size was not available, I went with the 6 and am glad I did. ( 5'3"....119 lbs). It is rather fitted so thank goodness for shape wear !!

Very Beautiful Dress
I wore this dress to the company holiday party, received tons of compliments.
I am 5'4 115lb, and ordered regular 6. It fits me well. Normally I wear regular 4 that means this dress is a bit smaller.
