Faux Fur Capelet

I purchased the caplet for a September formal wedding but ultimately decided not to wear fur, but kept it anyway because it's a true classic. My future daughter in law borrowed it last week and received compliment after compliment on the caplet! What I like about the caplet is that the sizing is very forgiving. I'm a generous 14 and she is a petite 6 and it looked equally appropriate on both of us. The color has a hint of pewter in it - it's not straight silver or gray, so it blends nicely with many colors including the nickel shaded satin tank she wore under it that true gray would have made look green. Lastly, I love the sleeve design as it keeps the caplet in just the right place on the shoulder. It's not fussy and constantly slipping. I look forward to wearing with dark jeans and boots to dress up an otherwise ordinary outfit. Overall this was a great value and a keep forever classic.

I actually quite liked the faux fur on this capelet (it didn't look too cheap or anything), but was disappointed with the fit and construction. This would have looked so beautiful for more formal occasions (as I've mentioned in other reviews, I've been looking for something with a little more pizzazz than a pashmina for ages), but unfortunately it didn't do anything for me. Perhaps it would look nicer on someone with a little less going on up top, but I really can't say.
