Beaded Halter Gown

The color of this dress is a dusty pink maybe even a bit mauve as it has a gray tint to it. Dress style was very cute. I am 5’2.5” and a size 14. I ordered a size 14 petite. It was about 4 inches too long and the shoulder straps need to be taken in about 2 inches on each side. Even with the shoulders pulled up tight you still could see down in the flappy arm hole and not because I am small busted I wear a 38 C. If I would not have the straps shortened the dress would hang sloppily and armholes would come down as far as my bustling. The dress is thin and flowy would be cooler for a hot summer event The skirt would flow beautifully if short enough. The dress was the right size in my bust waist and hips cover any bottom or hip area imperfections. The two layer fabric is thin a great plus for a-sweltering hot summer day. The neckline beading is very classy. I would have needed to shorten two inches the shoulders. And my daughter was very meh about the color. I am the mother of the Bride. So it’s going back. In my head it was supposed to look like it did on the model The petite size was made for a woman over 5’5’” or 5’6”.
