Elevation Softside Backpack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Elevation™ Plus Backpack is a high-quality bag that serves my daily commute to the office very well. It offers more than enough storage space for my needs. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the main compartment easier to open and wider for better accessibility.

I think this is a great backpack, it's a little grown up looking and a little crisp, this does not look like it went to college or camping recently, so for an adult or just someone wanting a look of style and luxe it's just the thing. Functionally I love it, it expands but in compact mode it's not too bulky, the various pockets are well thought out, I especially like the phone pocket. I've heard a criticism the phone pocket opening faces up and will get wet in heavy rain, that's true and maybe it would be better with a flap like the lower pocket, but that's only a problem from prolonged exposure to heavy rain, hasn't come up for me. I bought this after looking at another very premium brand, which I was underwhelmed by. It turns out Samsonite has bought that other brand, which hasn't done the other brand any favors in my opinion but has brought a lot of their features into the Samsonite line which is a vastly better value.

I did expect it to be more functional in terms of pouches with the zippers inside - for kids and small stuff. Unfortunately there aren't any of those, which was a bit of disappointment.
