Eleanor Loafer (Women)

After a recent foot injury, I needed some flats that are appropriate for business meetings. I didn't want to drop the cash on another pair of Gucci loafers, particularly in these two colors that I probably won't wear as much. This shoe is beautiful, and very well constructed. The Sand Stone is a tad more casual given the pebbled leather and stacked wood heel. I'm on the fence on these. I think if they were closer to $200 I'd feel better about them. At the $298 price point I'd prefer them to be smooth calfskin with a covered heel. The Dark Carmine is a browner tone of burgundy than I was expecting/hoping for. They are gorgeous, but don't pair well with anything in my wardrobe - they didn't look right with burgundy OR brown. I found them to be true to size, but have a more narrow foot which is definitely conducive to the shape of the shoe. My regular size 9 fits me perfectly with liner socks. You may want to go up a half size depending on your foot shape and what kind of socks you want to wear. I ended up returning both pairs and instead purchased them in a beautiful ivory leather at another store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have these shoes, and they are not my favorite by far. The bottoms are slippery. I've gotten caught in the rain in them, and literally had to take baby steps to get to my destination as the bottoms are slippery. They also don't fit like a usual Tory shoe. I have many pairs, and this is by far my least favorite. I barely wear them. You can do better finding another pair.
