Sleeveless Cotton Nightgown

As old fashioned as they are, these nightgowns are so comfortable! I prefer the thinner straps when I can find them & was happy when I saw this style bc it has a bit more style. I purchased the shorter version in white. Unfortunately the way they have done these straps is terrible. It’s lace over satin, and after 2 washes, the satin started to fray & pull away from the strap. I hand sewed the straps to reinforce but am not sure if the satin will hold up to more washes. We’ll see. What a disappointment from Eileen West.

I was hesitant to purchase. After all, I used to purchase these for my MOM! After much consideration and a LOT of looking around for PLAIN COTTON sleepwear, something told me to just "go for it". So I want for it and I'm happy with that "something" that told me to "go for it" because it's a dream to wear on a hot night. Cool, airy, lightweight; it floats! I did size down. I'm usually an M and I went for an S and the fit is perfect with a bit of room to spare. I wash mine in cold, gentle with a mild soap and I hang it to dry outside because I love the scent of sun-dried clothing and I get a charge out of not paying PG&E for power I don't need. Dried naturally I find only slight wrinkling, no big deal. Also, it is somewhat sheer but not enough to give anything away. LOVE!

This nightgown is beautiful and graceful. I love it differs a little from the typical Eileen West's style, Other review indicated that after wear the satin lining at straps became defective. I've worn mine as yet but think it will be perfect for the summer. I love Eileen West's nightgown and totally believe that one can safely go down a size,

It's a pretty nightgown for warm conditions, especially if one prefers longer lengths. Can live with the typical wrinkles of 100% cotton. I had to take it in at the bust, perhaps others wearing size S don't need to, but it is well made. Am generally pleased, but prefer pima cotton if I can find feminine styles.
