Perfectly flattering
I adore this dress, it is one of my all-time favorite purchases from EF and Nordstrom. The fit is fairly classic Eileen Fisher, although I did find the top a little more closely fitting than in some of her other items. If you are larger through the upper back and chest, you may want to consider going up in size versus your normal EF size.
The dress feels incredible on - soft, flowy, perfect. As you move, it stays close to your body, but never clings - it's a wow. The arms are cut high enough so you're unlikely to be flashing your bra at the armpit, which I appreciate.
This dress dresses up and down beautifully - with flip flops it's perfect resort wear. With heels, it can go to the opera. The. Perfect. Dress.

Incorrect sizing
Quality control was asleep again! I have been purchasing Eileen Fisher clothing for over 20 years and have noticed the quality of garments and the sizing has been off. This pleated midi dress is about 2 sizes smaller than the label, with tight arm holes. This is becoming all too common, please fix it! Fabric is pretty, though.

Cut favors those with VERY flat stomachs
Beautiful color and nice material, but not for me or anyone else without a very flat stomach. There is a seam across the hips that in fact emphasizes the abdominal area. Might be less noticeable in darker material, but the silver is a fail.

The Perfect Dress!!
I got the silver color and I absolutely love it. Can be worn with jean jacket or a fancy wrap or jacket. So versatile. I needed a dress since I had none. Living in New Mexico we are casual. This is my one perfect dress I can wear to many occasions. Its comfortable. I also think it can be hand washed and line dry even though says Dry Clean. I had a spot on it I removed with a little gentle soap and water and the dress appears fine. It does run a little large. I bought two in different sizes and chose the smaller one and returned the other. I am a bit heavier and it looks so nice on me.. Get the dress!!

Frumpy fit
Ordered this online. The fabric and color (ocean) are beautiful, but this is a tent dress which does nothing for me. Worse than nothing. One of the layers starts at the hip and sticks out like saddle bags. At that price, I expect something flattering. Returned.

worth every dime
I hesitated at the price of this dress. But it is the kind of dress that can look 30 different ways from beach sandals to pearls. High quality, elegant, well-fitted in spite of its looser shape. I wear medium tops in EF and large bottoms. I went with the medium and it is perfect.
