Slim Ankle Pants

I ordered two colors of this pull-on pant in size Large, after checking the size chart. The Ocean and Wren colors are as shown online. The pant fit, but this slim pant was not flattering on me, as it looked more of a tapered silhouette rather than the straight look on the model. The bigger issue I had was the plastic feel of the fabric - too much nylon, maybe?

Love Eileen Fisher for making me a size smaller. I am almost always a large and with Eileen Fisher I am a medium. I bought at least 5 of these pants in different colors. They are good for work and if you want to look more formal than leggings or jeans. I am approx 5'5 and the fit is not at the ankles but full length (which I prefer) . The fabric is lightweight but these pants look good on.

Last year, I wrote a negative review of this pant, which has long been my favorite pant of all time. The fabric and cut had changed dramatically, and it was a real disappointment. That said, I rely on this pant so much that I decided to give it another try when it became available in Ink. I sized down from my usual Medium and ordered a Small, and the fit is excellent. I’m not sure whether EF has updated the fabric again, but it does feel improved. What I do know is that the cut in my regular size is still off, while the Small fits perfectly. I’m glad I gave these another chance. Sizing down made all the difference.
