Organic Linen Crop Wide Leg Pants

These look cute on the model, but in reality for lumpy bodies like mine, maybe not so great. I'm tall, but these came down below my calf, and coupled with the very wide leg, made me look so short and schlumpy. I had hoped to replace the EF linen crops I bought years ago--they were perfect below the knee crops, with a leg that wasn't too wide and skirtlike, and had a comfy wide knit waistband with a drawstring. I've been scouring Eileen Fisher for years looking for something like those. Probably worst, though, was that the color was so different from what it looks like here--it was more like that ugly dark blue chambray color, not even the pretty light blue chambray, and I could barely detect any "misty lilac" in it at all. I had to hold them up to the light just right to see even a hint of that color, which I would have kept them for despite their unattractiveness. Sadly, back to the store they go.

These are just the most comfortable casual summer pants, and the colour is truly gorgeous. Because they are wide, I found they looked best with a fairly close fitting top. A tank top or a sleeveless shirt are ideal. I definitely would not pair them with any of the EF boxy tops because the overall look will be too shapeless. The colour looks particularly sharp paired with a black top, and also works very well with white. For reference, I bought the small. I'm 5' 7" and about 150 lbs. I'm typically a size 10 pant in most brands.

I love this style of Eileen Fisher pants and have four pairs of them, but when I received the pair described as "Misty Lilac," I was surprised to see that they weren't any shade of lilac, lavender or purple but rather more of a blue grey. I'll still wear them, but the color difference was very disappointing. About the size, I would normally buy a medium, but the site said to order a size smaller, so I got small, which turned out to be perfect.
