Coin Lace-Up Combat Boot (Women)

Great craftsmanship, nice color (Wren). I purchased these to go with the Icon coat. Tried them on several times however they slipped on my heel no matter what sock I wore. Sadly, returned as for $325, I am not paying a cobbler to add padding! ? Zippers really tight but would have been ok with wear. Getting into boot narrow but ok once on. Of note the box was torn in a couple of places and appeared to have been thrown in the packaging box. Second footwear from Nordstroms in damaged packaging. I keep my shoes in their boxes with pictures of them on the end so that I can put together outfits.

They are definitely combat boots. I've gotten boots of the same bulky look with a lot less weight, but they look great. Beautiful color. Leather inside. I actually found them true to size. There are some reviews that indicated they run small. I originally bought a 1/2 size large and had to exchange them for my regular size.

I've tried them on, but haven't worn them yet. Seem to fit OK in my regular size, but they seem a little stiff. I live in a snowy location and these boot are not waterproof, therefore I need to waterproof them before they can be worn outside. Zipper seems stiff. Has anyone had any problems with the zipper?

This boot has so much going for it- It is light weight, it is less bulky, more elegant but still has that nod to an edgy combat style. At first I thought I would need to size up from my usual Eileen Fisher 8 but it is enough, wearing a medium sock. My left foot is wider so I had that boot stretched just a bit. One plus is that I am able to put on and remove the boot using just the zipper without unlacing. I usually cannot do that with my other boots.
