True Comfort
I usually wear a 9 in Saucony shoes, but purchased an 8.5 W in this shoe. Love the black and white because it goes with everything. This is the only shoe I have purchased that has a toe box wide enough to allow my toes to splay comfortably without rubbing or scrunching. The arch support is perfect. The back of the shoe feels stiff when you are putting the shoe on, but once on it does not rub your heel at all. Just holds your foot in place. I was worried a newer model would replace these so I purchased another pair. A great shoe for those who need a wide toe box!

What a disappointment!
This has been my go style for years now. It's the best for my wide flat arthritic feet.The echolon 10 is too tight across my toes causing pain and soreness and the upper material has less "give " than Echelon 9 and below.I The "10" is causing end of day discomfort with the swelling that happens after being on my feet all day.. I buy 2 pairs at a time since I wear them everyday for work and leisure . What a mistake ! It's beyond the refund time and I don't want to buy online again and have to find a new style. Echelon 9 and below has always been the perfect shoe and have received so many compliments on its style and appearance of a well made supportive sneaker.I am so disappointed. Why keep modifying
every year when it has always had such great reviews?

Comfortable Shoes
This is my fifth pair of Echelons, and they’ve consistently been comfortable. That said, this version feels a bit tighter than my previous pair. I’d recommend allowing for a longer break-in period before using them for extended walks, runs, or hikes. I learned that the hard way—after about a month of only short walks, I participated in a 5K and ended up with pain across the top of my foot. For me, that wasn’t nearly enough time to break them in properly.

Back to health!
