Margot Origami Ballet Flat

Stiff and not comfortable at all, I wince when I think about attempting to wear them again. Having them on for 8 hours did not break them down.

I love shoes but unfortunately they run small. I am wearing size 9.5 -10 and never had problems with ECCO shoes but I have to return this one b/c they are too small.

I got the black color of these flats and I love the design, they look very modern. Fit is pretty true to size. Not a lot of arch support visible, but the soles are pretty comfortable. Problem is that cool design I like so much - it digs into my top toe joint terribly. What you can't quite tell from the picture is that the shiny patent leather front is a separate piece from the rest, and acts like the tongue of the shoe. It's very very stiff and slightly curved so it stays in place. The bottom edge of it digs into the top of the foot if your foot is even slightly tall or high volume. Not sure why Nordstrom is showing the loafers on the same page as the flats - I bought the Origami flats.

I ordered this flat in the delicious chocolate brown, but it runs small. I'm normally a 7.5 M. I've reordered it in an 8M. Hopefully it will fit. The leather appears to be of a good quality and the style is understatedly elegant.

I ordered 2 sizes of this shoe after reading the reviews because I was torn. Turned out that my usual size was perfect. I'm pretty much always a 7-7.5 and that's the one I'm keeping. These are a beautiful color brown and seem well made. I like the mix of leather and suede as well as the square toe.

The tongue, made of hard leather, cuts across my toe joint. And it hurts!
