What it is: A shampoo with activated charcoal to remove impurities and product buildup without stripping or drying out hair.
What it does: The activated charcoal purifies and deep cleans your hair and scalp—it's capable of absorbing 100-200 times its weight in impurities. Vegetable protein strengthens and reinforces chemically treated or damaged hair.
How to use: Vigorously massage a generous dollop into wet hair. Rinse well. Repeat if needed. Use 1-2 times per week.

Lives Up To The Hype
If you put a lot of product in your hair, this is the absolute best clarifying shampoo I have ever tried. Smells greats, leaves your hair feeling deep-cleaned and isn't drying. I use this once a week and can feel a huge difference in my hair after I use it.

Smells awful
Not my cup of tea. Very strong smelling, not in a good way. My daughter said my hair smells like a grandma's hair.

so much perfume
I really just don’t get all the other reviews, beauty products are hard to review because everyone’s skin and hair is different, but there was so much perfume that I had to wash my hair three times with another shampoo to get it out. This may not bother some people but unfortunately I was unable to tell if this was effective

Not what I expected from DryBar
I was really hoping to love this shampoo. My hair is naturally curly but I straighten and curl it a lot, so I have some product build up. I read some reviews on this and the majority claimed it removed the product build up and really cleaned their hair. As soon as I lather this in my hair, my hair becomes so dry it’s almost unmanageable to wash. My hair immediately feels like straw and matts together with this shampoo, making it hard to rinse out. I definitely need conditioner on after using this product. Would definitely not buy again, especially for the price and I have seen no difference except it drying my hair out.

Don't let the color freak you out - this shampoo is a game changer! I was at drybar for a blowout a few weeks ago and they used this -- I'd ordered it before I left the salon.

Ineffective, leaves a residue
Merely ok. Didn't do anything for my hair (in fact, took quite a lot of effort to get a lather and seemed to leave a residue on my roots) and is on the pricey side. I'm going back to my old shampoo.

No more oily roots
Great shampoo. This is the best clarifying shampoo I've tried. It leaves hair so clean and shiny, yet doesn't dry hair out and leaves it really soft. I have super oily hair and find most sulfate free shampoos don't remove the oil enough and leave my hair looking flat, but this shampoo gives my roots the clean feeling I'm looking for. I can also attest to the fact that it does not leave any black tint. (I was a little nervous about that). I really love all drybar products, and his was no disappointment!
