What it is: A set of low-maintenance rollers that roll easily into your hair and stay in place without clips or clamps, then remove gently without pulling or tugging.
What it does: These rollers leave you with an effortless lift just where you want it at the crown of your head. The secret is in the gentle self-grip material that provides strong hold while preventing damage to hair. Two sizes allow for customizable volume on any length hair.
How to use: Create a three-inch section at the crown of the head and comb through so it's smooth and free of tangles. Starting from the ends, roll the hair toward the base of the section, away from the face. Leave in for 10–15 minutes. For best results, use rollers when hair is still warm from a blow-out. Remove the rollers and tousle hair to break up shape. Set with hairspray.

Big Hair Here I Come!
I have many years experience styling my own hair, curling it, using various tools on it, you name it. From this experience I rate these rollers Five Star! They do add incredible volume to hair. They are velcro rollers though, not magic rollers, so yes, sometimes a clip is necessary to hold them in place. I clip all mine down regardless, just so I don't have to worry with them falling out. I am not fond of blow dryers so I put these rollers in when my hair is still damp, just shy of wet, and leave them for hours. I am lucky I work at home and have the leisure to do this. If I had to be somewhere, I would blast each roller with a blow dryer for a few minutes each. Unlike cheaper velcro rollers, these do not pull or tug or damage hair. They are not going to give you curl as say a curling iron would or hot rollers. They give lift & volume. The amazing thing is the next day, when you are sporting 'second day hair' your style looks even better than the day before! It has volume you'd never have otherwise. After removing these rollers you will have 'bumps' and roller 'prints' where the rollers were -- maybe because I leave mine in for so long -- but these will work themselves out, do not be alarmed.
For reference: I have fine hair but a ton of it -- called 'thick hair' by any who see me, but in actuality my individual hair strands are fine, I just have an over abundance of them. My hair is naturally wild, wavy, frizzy. These rollers take out the wildness & frizz.

Not ideal for long hair....save your money
I really wanted to love these, but turns out they were cheaply made and a waste of money. The rollers do not hold up at all. I had to use a clip to hold the rollers, but they would just keep falling down. Maybe if you have short hair, they will work, but definitely NOT for med/long hair. The rollers are also cheaply made. Rollers are not sturdy enough too..

Just like any other rollers...
They are not special rollers or anything that you can't purchase at the regular beauty supply store with a few dollars less. (4 medium size rollers for $5 at the supply store, you get 6 rollers in 2 sizes for $10)
But it is definitely convenient to be able to skip the trip to beauty supply and purchase through beloved Nordstrom. :)
I have shoulder length hair and the sizes work great... If you have long hair you may need larger size. Also, depending on how much hair you have you'll need 2-3 boxes to cover all the hair. I needed two.

Not for Long Hair
I have medium length hair, and these rollers don't work. You can't get the roll to stick at the crown of your head if you have long hair. It might be that I just haven't gotten the hang of it yet, but for the life of me I cannot get these rollers to stick. I followed the instructions, watched the video on the drybar website, and still nothing.

Rollers do not stay in place!
All of the Drybar products I have purchased have exceeded expectations except these "High Tops" self-grip rollers. They do not stay in place and hair does not stay gripped around the roller. That said, I am giving this item 3 stars as using them does result in some extra volume in hair that does manage to stay wrapped (loosely) around the roller.

Big hair, Do Care.
Love these! I put them in when my hair is mostly dry, then shoot each one with the hair dryer on high heat, and let them cool while I get ready. My hair has thinned recently and these little darlings give me the volume I've been missing and then some.
I'm purchasing a second set today.
