Drop Waist Cotton & Linen Midi Dress

I think this dress was made for women with more rectangle or apple-shaped bodies to give them the illusion of an hourglass figure. The waist ran way too big for me in the XS size, but the chest and hips were perfect. It is also a pretty thick and heavy dress, so this is more of a spring or fall dress than a summer dress imo. I would also disagree with one of the previous reviews that said the red is a blue-red tone, I would say it’s more of an orange-red tone as it’s on the brighter side. Overall though, the dress is inexpensive and decent quality. I like that it’s 100% cotton, so I’ll keep it and spend the extra money to get it tailored to my waist.

Love the shade of red for this sundress! It is a true blue toned red. The dropped waist is very flattering as is the full skirt which makes one’s waistline look smaller. It hits mid-calf on me- I’m 5’ 3”, petite and long waisted. The fabric is on the thicker side with a slight texture for a nice drape. There is a lovely little detail of picot edge embroidery along the front bodice. My only quibble is that it doesn’t have pockets which would have been easy to hide in the folds of the skirt. Still, it’s almost perfect!
