Ruth Asymmetric Neck Midi Dress

I found this dress to be very figure flattering, and I liked the uniqueness of the bright orange and the asymmetric neckline. I did have Nordstrom alterations taper the sleeves a bit and hem the shoulders just a tad to bring the lowest part of the neckline up enough so that my bra wouldn’t show. Received multiple compliments on my dress.

I bought this in the dark emerald/teal and it's a gorgeous dress. Really nice lines and high quality material. Emphasis is definitely on the waist, it runs tighter on the waist than the rest of the dress, almost like a corset fit. I'm 5'7", 128 pounds and my waist is 26 inches and it's still a bit tight when I bought a small. Works great, just be prepared for no give in the dress. Sleeves are looser than they look in the photo. Definitely worth the money, can wear for many occasions - work, date night, events, etc.

Good quality fabric and nice fit. I love DTP dresses and have several. Size small is perfect fit for me. For reference I’m 5’9, 135LB, 34B bra size. However, the asymmetric cut on décolletage is cut way too low (it doesn’t look like it in photos). It makes it almost inappropriate to wear for professional occasions. I’m small chested and even on me it looks too low and awkward. I straggled to find a bra that wouldn’t show with that cut. I can only imagine how it will look on someone with bigger bust. Other than that it’s a great dress if you don’t mind the low cut. But it’s a return for me.
