Alicia Mixed Media Midi Dress

I read the prior reviews and decided to give this dress a chance anyways. I am so thrilled I did. As a size 4/6 with a 34DDD bust, I have a difficult time with plunging necklines or dresses that make you go braless. That is not the case here. It fit like a glove without being too snug or squishing the girls. There is no armpit extra from the fit. It is incredibly flattering fit. The waistline allows for you to indulge a little without evidence. I am wearing this for a summer wedding and am counting down the days! I want it in every color! The fabric and delicate detailing at the hem can give off a flapper vibe without being too on the nose. You can use b00b tape with this if you are skilled, to give yourself an extra lift if desired. Works well with a short torso.

This dress is STUNNING. The low rating is because the sizing is sooooo off. I am a true 14, according to this that meant to order an XXL (which is a whole other issue). This dress wasn't even CLOSE to zipping. It fit like a 10 or smaller. Ridiculous sizing. I recommend do not buy online without having tied it on first!!

Wore this as my wedding dress for courthouse wedding. Honestly it was perfect for the occasion and fit well comfortably.

I hesitated before buying this dress because of the negative reviews on sizing, and considered sizing up. I'm glad I ordered my usual size (medium) because it fits like a glove. For reference, I'm 5'11", wear a 32D, have a 27" waist, and nearly always wear a 6-8 on the bottom (8 if they're skinny/pencil, 6 if they're loose or A-line). This dress is a deep burgundy color perfect as a guest of a fall wedding, and the deep V is flattering and makes the dress a bit less conservative. I think the bodice runs true to size (and the Dress the Population website offered sizing info in inches that was accurate). I will say that I am TALL and this was perfect. Fit much more like a specifically tall dress than a regular (hit exactly at my natural waist and at the true midi length below my knees). It might not work if you're petite (or average).

I am 5’ 2” 120 lbs. I originally ordered a Small, but exchanged it for an XS because the bust area was a little loose. If you don’t have a small chest like I do, I’d say very true to size! If you have a small chest area and small waist, I’d say size down for a tighter fit.

I loved the style and quality of this dress; however, it had to go back. I am 5'4" ~118lb with a small hourglass figure (32A). I ordered a size 2 and found the dress very snug around the ribcage but very loose in the chest with darts that made the bust pointy (even when filled). While the quality of the fabric was great, the odd shape and fit made me have to return the dress.
