Drape Back Crepe Long Sleeve Gown

I am a future mother of the groom. I have a hard time finding dresses that flatter your arms. This dress hides all of that for you. I bought both the green and blue and kept the blue because it is such a beautiful pop of color. I am hippy and even though the reviews say to size down, keep in mind the dress has to go through your hips first. The top fits like a blouse. It is oversized and may make you look boxy. I am having the top part taken in to be more form fitting. Also reducing the sleeves a little. The sleeves add weight to you too. I do not mind having the alterations done. The dress is so elegant and classic that it is worth it.

I’m 40 yrs old, 5’3”, 34DD, 145lbs, hourglass but slightly broader in the shoulder/upper arm than hip. I got this for a black tie wedding and I LOVED it. Was complimented all night. I initially got a 6 but found it had a bit too much extra fabric in the upper/torso section for my smaller stature and a good bit of stretch in the solid skirt portion so I sized down to a 4. (Wore my favorite full body spanx underneath to be ultra smooth!) I did also get it hemmed as it was about 3” too long for me (even with 4” heels on) so it draped perfectly at floor length without me tripping over it at any point. I just love Tadashi Shoji dresses. They’re always so elegant, beautifully made with gorgeous lace/embroidered details. Highly recommend!

I am a comfortable size 8 and ordered a 6 and an 8. The 6 fit better, I suggest you size down. The dress is beautiful and the fabric quality is really nice. The color is a really beautiful emerald/gem tone green. My one complaint is that the top lining has some folds or something going on that show through. I have a larger chest which might have contributed to this issue, but something to be aware of. It doesn't lay smoothly on me. I returned the dress.
