Jadon Platform Boot (Women)

I am absolutely SHOOOOK by the complete difference & comfort of this Jadon boot compared to the OG Jadon boot..it’s freaking AMAZINGLY flexible & feels much lighter! I gave my OG Jadon boot a REAL try with about 10+ wears after having them almost 11 months & they just would NOT break in & just too heavy for the amount of walking I do now since moving from California to NYC. If you are a pedestrian like me & really want this style of boot, I STRONGLY encourage you to try this boot over the OG Jadon style..heck even if you don’t walk a lot, I would say it’s a HARD PASS on the OG Jadon style..just too stiff & heavy! I still don’t understand how the OG Jadon has sooo many positive reviews, it’s cute but waaaay too uncomfortable. I even purchased the DM Wonder Balsam protector to soften them, plus an extra plush thick sock from DM & still the OG Jadon boot was never fully comfy...hence why I rarely wore them in almost a year. I got the size 9 & I am a true size 9.5. Also just like the OG Jadon, I will have to use a heel insert since my foot heel still rubs a little when walking a NYC block or more, but other than that it’s comfy ALL around & still SUPER CUTE/STYLISH, 100x MORE than the OG Jadon!

These were my first pair of Docs so I actually went into the Dr Martens store in SoHo to try on almost every single pair they had bc all the reviews on sizing seem to vary by shoe style. I’m a true 6.5 but with bad feet (bunions) so I prefer my shoes to be a bit wider and run a bit larger vs being snug. I was looking for a soft leather, high lace up boot with a platform. I tried on the Audrick platforms and the regular 1490s in a size 6 which felt very comfortable for my feet. I initially tried the Jardon Pisa in a size 6 but could feel my right big toe almost grazing the front of the shoe. Since I was wearing very thin socks, I knew the boots would be too snug come winter time when I’ll want to wear tights and thicker socks. The size 7 were a tad too big but the sales associate stuck in some doc insoles for me and they felt much better! I would say these boots do run true to size but a little wide, so if you are a true half size and do not want your shoes to be snug, then size up. I’m so confused by the reviews where people are sizing down one whole size - that definitely would not have worked for me, so I’m glad I went into the store to try these on. As for style and feel? OMG these feel like walking on clouds…everyone always talks about how docs are brutal to break in, but these feel amazing. I had always wanted docs in the 90s (I was in middle school and HS) but couldn’t afford them back in the day. I’m ecstatic that I can feed my inner 90s child via these boots! The pictures do not do them justice. They are legitimately beautiful and I do not regret paying full price for them! I live in NYC and know I’ll get a ton of wear from them.

I purchased the Jadon boots a month ago, but they were super uncomfortable and the creased so much. I returned them and bought these and I can tell you, they are ten times better ! They are super comfy and they don’t crease at all. They don’t have the same shine as the regular Jadon boots, but they’re still super pretty. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Bought these because I preferred the tumbled leather look to the typical Jadon smooth leather. I tried the smooth leather on and they were HUGE. These shoes fit more true to size and are way lighter and more comfortable. Don’t even give me blisters! They run slightly large... I’m typically an 8 and I ordered an 8. They fit like an 8.5 which doesn’t bother me at all because with thick socks they’ll be great! Definitely recommend these over other doc martens!

I’ve been debating about getting these for 2 years and let me just tell you!!!! I LOVE THEM. People were right when they said these are more comfortable then the smooth leather version. It’s more flexible with your feet and calves and it’s super super comfortable. I have worn it a handful of times now for HOURS and not a single blister. Whereas the smooth leather, I have heard many people get blisters first few times or even a year and they are still not broken in. I am a size 7 in any shoe brand and I got the size 6. It fits perfect. I was going to get size 7 but I know this brand always runs big. It snowed the other week and I was able to wear it with thick fuzzy socks with space to still wiggle my toes. Also I love the leather look on this one because it won’t scuff whereas the original is prone to getting many scratches and scuffing! And it’s the same price???? Like what more could I have asked for?? GET IT:)
